​Today's feature is Devin aka @outlinedcloth, who is one of the producers on the TV series, Bar Rescue. That's so dope! He and his wife started the fashion blog, "Outlined Cloth" 5 years ago, and the blog has ascended to be one of the leading fashion blogs. Be sure to check it out! Now onto his story...

Can you tell us about yourself?

Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, I moved to LA with my sister in 2002 to pursue my dream of working in the entertainment business. For the past 17 years, I have worked in front of and behind the scenes on various film and TV shows. I currently work as a producer on Paramount Network's Bar Rescue. Along with producing TV, my wife and I started the fashion blog, Outlined Cloth about 5 years ago. More on that below.

How did you start your blog/Instagram?

My first realization of fashion blogging and Instagram was when I started to notice cool outfits on IG and then I found myself buying what I saw. Not too long after I read an LA Times article about fashion bloggers making money and was like what is this? 
My wife and I have both always loved fashion and this was a great way for us to work together and basically create a Plan B for our life. The best part is getting to work together and we have met so many great people along the way.

What does social media/Instagram mean to you?

For me social media levels the playing the field. I believe Instagram is a great marketing platform that allows anyone, anywhere to compete with the big boys. But on a more personal level, I have developed some of my closest relationships with people I met on IG. The best part is social media helps you meet folks that have similar interests like denim or boots and allows you to build an organic relationship based on a common interest.

Any interesting encounters through social media?

So many, but the greatest encounter doesn’t specifically involve social media, but the new age technology that is now a part of our lives. I met my wife on Tinder, a dating app where we both swiped right. My life will never be the same and I am so thankful for all the new mediums that are a part of our every day lives.

What accounts/hashtags do you like to check out? Any recommendation?

My favorite hashtags are always denim and boots, but now that we have a new home and a baby on the way, they have shifted. I have really been into baby fashion, and home decor as of late. But my roots will always be in fashion and checking out the latest trends.

What feelings do you have for "Made in Japan" jeans/fashion products?

To be honest, I started with made in USA denim and stuck with them. I have not ventured into the Japanese denim yet, but there is still plenty of time and denim to go around.
